Cat-Eye Sunglasses
Upswept cat-eye frames in acetate and metal-acetate combinations — a high-margin fashion staple for women's eyewear lines.
OEM & ODM Cat-Eye production
The cat-eye remains the defining feminine silhouette in eyewear, with upswept outer corners that lift the face and signal fashion-forward styling. LumiShades produces cat-eyes across the spectrum — from soft, subtle lifts for everyday optical lines to dramatic, exaggerated 1950s-revival shapes for runway and influencer brands. We run them in full acetate, metal-and-acetate combinations and crystal laminates, with gradient and mirror lenses being the most popular finishes. Cat-eyes carry strong margins because the styling commands a premium, and our tooling supports both sharp angular and rounded soft-cat variants.
- Upswept outer-corner browline
- Sharp angular or soft-cat variants

Cat-Eye sourcing questions
How exaggerated can the cat-eye lift be?
We tool everything from a subtle 5mm browline lift to dramatic 1950s-revival points. Highly exaggerated shapes need a custom die above 600 pairs; moderate lifts are available from stock tooling at MOQ 50.
Are gradient lenses standard on cat-eyes?
Gradient tints (dark-to-light, top to bottom) are the most popular finish and are available in grey, brown, rose and custom colors. We control the gradient fade line precisely in our tinting line.
Can you do a metal-and-acetate combination cat-eye?
Yes. A metal browbar or core with acetate front and temples is a popular premium look and is fully supported. It adds a small cost versus full acetate.
Do you offer rhinestone or embellished cat-eyes?
We can apply hand-set rhinestones, metal studs or laser-cut detailing as a value-add. These are labor-intensive and add to unit cost and lead time.
What lens shapes work best for cat-eye frames?
Cat-eye lenses are typically smaller and more angular than wayfarer lenses. We cut them to match your frame front exactly with our CNC lens edger.
What is the typical price for a polarized cat-eye?
Polarized acetate cat-eyes land in the mid-to-upper pricing tier; see the pricing table on this page for quantity-based ranges.
